Top Ten Book Covers I'd Frame As Pieces of Art

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the BookishThis week we're discussing the top ten book covers we'd frame as pieces of art. So without any further ado:

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern
Bitter Greens by Kate Forsyth
Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
Seraphina by Rachel Hartman

Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm by Philip Pullman
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch
The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey
The Lover's Dictionary by David Levithan

Rather than clutter this post with any unnecessary text, I'm just going to let you all bask in the beauty of these covers.

What covers would you like to frame as pieces of art?

Amanda loves few things better than sitting down with a cup of tea and a book. She frequently stays up far too late, telling herself she just needs to finish one more page. When she's not wrapped up in the stories of others, Amanda works as a children's librarian in a public library.

  1. AHHHHH Big Yes to The Snow Child and The Lover's Dictionary. TLD is seriously one of the greatest books ever and I adore that cover. Love all the illustrated ones they are very pretty and definitely frame-worthy. Great picks! :)

  3. Haha I love that half of our picks are the same and I also considered Seraphina and Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm! I didn't even think of The Snow Child, but that one is also enchantingly beautiful. Lovely list, Manda! :D

  5. Unspoken seriously is just gorgeous -- I'm still incredibly upset they changed the covers for the series. :( And, of course, Seraphina. Not a huge fan of the new purple shade, but at least it's still the same cover image. But, I always felt like the faded/rustic feel to the cover wound up adding to its original beauty. Great picks, Amanda!

  6. I had both Unspoken and Seraphina on my list as well. I don't hate the new covers for Sarah Rees Brennan's series, but I would've really loved if they kept the cut paper art and seasonal motif.

  7. I love that cover of The Hobbit! I haven't actually read the book yet, but I borrowed a copy from the library yesterday, and it just happens to have that cover ;)
The Night Circus is so pretty too :D
