It's interesting to learn about them, of course, and to realize the impact they've had on today's books. And yet it's cool that you got to see YA from a different, more academic point of view. I've never read the classics you mention and it makes me wonder if they'll ever be priorities for me if I'm not taking a class like this... and that's kind of sad.
