One of the main reasons I decided to start writing reviews was to give myself easy reminders of the synopsis and my thoughts of previous books in series. So hopefully this will work by the time the sequel rolls around. :)
Really? I'm not sure what negative things you can say about Paige. I think she's a fairly well-constructed character and her actions all make reasonable sense. Hmm. I'll have to see if I can find the negative critiques to see what basis those naysayers have lol.
Yes, I shall be hoping for more clarity as the series continues. We'll see.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03052456915027241479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4160066904665347291.post-12398644809629185872013-11-17T20:38:07.333-06:002013-11-17T20:38:07.333-06:00I'm glad that I enjoyed it as well! Fingers crossed the sequels will live up to the potential introduced here.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03052456915027241479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4160066904665347291.post-75111778503401574452013-11-14T19:59:07.030-06:002013-11-14T19:59:07.030-06:00I actually think you did a really great job at rec...I actually think you did a really great job at recapping this book. I've no idea how I'll remember it all when I start book 2, so I might have to come back and get a basic set up here! This is a book that I just wanted to discuss and discuss when I read it, which is a mark of a fantastic story for me. I love that it is so rich in world building, but still we want more. I'm glad you pointed out how much you liked Paige, because I've seen some negativity around her. But I agree, I thought she was distinct - not cookie cutter heroine - and I very much enjoyed her growth and her slow building relationship with Warden. I'll agree that all the secondaries were confusing. There were SO many of them, but I'm still lost. As we go back to London in the next book, I have a feeling that this will sort itself out. Let's hope that this series just keeps getting better! Thoughtful review as always, Amanda. I lo...I'm so glad you enjoyed this one, Amanda. I loved the way in which we got to know Paige's character in this book and I felt it was very effective. Plus, this world is so fascinating. It really does have so much potential, so I hope it lives up and delivers on that completely.Keertanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01071392026876644282noreply@blogger.com
